Eli Lucas is a 25-year-old vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from West Virginia with over 350 million streams across his body of work. After the viral success of his song "i'm sad" released under his "eli." project name back in 2017, he rose to prominence in the underground indie/bedroom alternative music scene. Vehemently anti-Christian as a result of his upbringing in the church in Appalachia, he found a lot of success through his music that often challenged religious ideas, explored secular philosophies, and discussed mental health. After undergoing a complete transformation, it wasn't until February of 2023 that Eli was baptized into Christ and began completely shifting gears, to some extent disregarding his well-established career to transition into ministry and Christian music. One year later in February of 2024, Eli released his debut song "Eternal Life" under his new artist name, in addition to continuing to release music as "eli." in hopes that this platform could serve as a bridge to this new music that has a Christian worldview. Viewing it as a complete obligation in light of his transformation, it is his hope that more people would come to know Christ through his music and platform. Furthermore, he makes videos on a new YouTube channel under his full name which includes his testimony and other videos about Christianity. Eli plans to attend seminary after finishing his bachelor's degree this summer.
